I have a laptop in my office at my woodshop and I listen to music through itunes, streaming internet radio and podcasts through the laptop and a nice set of desktop speakers. I wanted to listen to these sources over 50 feet away in the machine and bench room. I was going to run 100 feet of rca cable from the laptop to the amplifier in the other room and then I found about these. Perfect sound - no drop outs, super easy to use. Today I got a $ 5clearance rechargeable blattery with a USB out which is the same size as the AW-! receiver - right now I've got the AW-1 and battery in my pocket and a pair of ipod headphones plugged in and I can roam all over the shop and hear my computer sourced content. One thing that works for me is to NOT plug the sender unit into my laptop usb but rather plug the sender into a usb power block and then plug an audio out from my laptop into the sender. This way, I can use a 2 way splitter out of the audio out and simulateneously plug in my desktop speakers and a line to the sender so that I can have music playing on my desktop AND in the other room through the stereo amp (or through the headphones.) Perhaps I'd get better fidelity by going USB out to the sender unit but switching back and forth between sender and onboard audio on the laptop seems a pain - using the splitter method above I get the best of both worlds and I have absolutley no complaints about the sound quality. I am playing mp3s in the 190-256 kbps range and it all sounds great. Obviously not an audiophile source - but... I'm getting another set for my home to be able to do the same - mostly roam the house at night with headphones to listen to my content without disturbing the family... Highly reccommended

Plug and Play Wireless Audio
By Sonny the IT Guy

I have this connected from the audio output of my Boston Acoustics Duo. I picked up a decent pair of Logitech computer speakers, and use it to send audio over to our master bath. This lets me listen to music in the master bath without trying to crank up the volume in our bedroom. Setup just takes a few minutes. Just connect the audio output to the wireless sender, and plug the send into an outlet. Then, plug in your receiver, and connect the speakers to the audio output. Both sender and receiver uses a mini-jack (3.5mm jack). The devices come with a straight mini-jack cable and a mini-jack to stereo cable. The stereo cable supplied was a little short for me, so I used a 6-footer.
Great Product!

This product does exactly what is says it will and does it exceptionally well. The wireless transmission of sound to the speakers was flawless and you couldn't tell that the speakers weren't wired.
