Equipped with Denon's innovative Dual Noise Cancelling system, the AH-NC800 headphones provide the optimum combination of quietness and audio fidelity. Featuring Denon's Hybrid Material Housing, the AH-NC800 features not one, but two noise cancellation detection microphones. One microphone listens to ambient noise around the earpiece, while the other microphone is internally mounted within the acoustic chamber to detect unwanted vibration and resonance. Together, they provide superb noise isolation along with supreme audio fidelity. For optimum comfort, the AH-NC800 headphones feature 3D-contoured soft protein leather earpad covers over super-soft compliant foam pads, that together provide maximum acoustic isolation along with supreme comfort that allows extended listening sessions without fatigue.

The headphones are supplied with two different detachable Oxygen Free Copper cables, including a shorter (.7 m) cable for connection to a portable audio player and a longer (1.5 m) cable for connection to a PC or airline jack, and both feature gold plated 3.5mm plugs. The headphones can be worn without a cable being connected, and can be used with or without the noise cancellation function activated. The AH-NC800 is also equipped with Denon's exclusive Compressed Audio Restorer function, which provides re-construction of the full audio frequency range with portable audio tracks, and the lightweight headband features 11 comfort adjustment steps.

    I wanted a headphone to replace my old QC15 Bose and opted for this Denon. According to reviews the Denons were exceptionally comfortable and I agree that it is more comfortable than the Bose QC15.
    Sound quality lacked power when played through iphone and laptop. Tried MP3 files to HD tracks in which this headphone couldn't handle.
    After long usages, much static can be heard after every 5-10mins. Could be a defect perhaps.

    For such a premium price I would have expected at least desent noise cancelling. these look nice and are packaged in an impressive way but the noise cancelling is poor and doesnt exceed the $100 range sets. For music though they are great
