What does the i stand for in the new SR325is from Grado? Improved, that`s what! Yes, Grado has taken one of the world`s most acclaimed headphones and taken it a few steps further. The new SR325is has an upgraded driver design, and they have enlarged and improved the mass distribution in the metal housing. The way the SR325is new driver and metal housing move air and react to sound vibrations are now less affected by transient distortions. With the SR325is you will notice improved control of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum with both better supporting Grado`s world renowned midrange. And why the Gold color? The new SR325is is in honor of their 50th anniversary celebrated recently. The SR325is will produce a sound that is pure Grado, with warm harmonic color, rich full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and an ultra smooth top end. Listen and Enjoy!

    I was looking for a great sound and I found it but it seams like the Grado SR325I's need alot of power to get close to their full potential. Using them on my laptop they are hollow with out much punch but sound great on my receiver. I have ordered a tube style headphone amp to pick it up some, to bad I felt I needed to spend [$] to get what I thought I was getting at first. As for the foam ear cups the jurry is still out on weather they will last. After all that nit picking they do sound great but the cord that comes with is only about 3' long. You will have to find yourself a good extension cord

    These are classic Grados -- slightly uncomfortable fit and great sound. The sound is very lively and dynamic, very different than my AKG 701s and Sennheisers. If you like that kind of sound, the 325's are impressive and affordable

      I really can't say enough about these headphones. The sound is incredible and I got a great deal at OneCall on a "used" pair that were brand new (sealed box). The headphones sound amazing plugged into an ipod or computer, but they really do need a headphone amp to bring out the "oh, WOW!" in them. I suggest the Little Dot 1+ because it's super affordable [...] and has loads of current which is what these cans need. So, if you're planning on using these headphones at home or work (with a nice little audio setup) DO IT!! You will be blown away. They are a little heavy (aluminum cans) and can get slightly uncomfortable after a couple hours of wear, but definitely worth it. I auditioned my friend's 225's which are plastic and thus much lighter (more comfortable), but the mid range especially was definitely weaker than the 325is. Of course...there is always the next level of sound...
