So, we were sitting around the demo room one day engrossed in some action movie, with digital surround-sound effects flying around the room from a SurroundBar 360°, and someone said, "why not take the same technology that allows us to produce multiple front channels in a single speaker… and do it with the rear surround channels?" A challenge!
After breaking for lunch, resourceful Polk Audio engineers set about combining the benefits of two of our patented, state-of-the-art audio technologies. They also developed a unique cabinet design that works to enhance the effects of these technologies.
